I’m a singer, guitarist and song-writer in two Sydney, Australia-based bands. Second Time Round is a 6-piece band of seasoned professional and semi-professional musicians, featuring twin guitars, bass, drums, sax and keys. The Third Age Rock Orchestra is a 30-member multi-instrument ensemble, which has the same rock ‘n’ roll core as Second Time Round but with added dynamics and colour provided by a symphony orchestra’s sections: strings, wind, brass and percussion.
Second Time Round and the Third Age Rock Orchestra play music from the 1950’s to the mid-2000’s, covering artists from Elvis to AC/DC and Dylan to Dire Straits. We have a repertoire of over 200 songs. The Rock Orchestra is associated with the University of the Third Age, which is a registered charity.
But before that…
I was a university academic for most of my working life. I worked in business schools and graduate schools of management in the UK, New Zealand, USA and Australia. At various times, I was a full Professor of Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Relationship Marketing, and Management.
